Non Slip
What size should a non-slip rug cushion be for protecting tile?
We purchased a nice rug today from the Great Indoors. The backing is rough and we were told to purchase a non-slip rug cushion to protect our tile from wearing away.
The rug is 5’4″ x 7’8″. We were told to buy the 5×8 size “Great Hold” cushion and cut the length 3/4″. We’re confused!
The cushion is so much smaller than the rug, we are concerned about the tile, but we really don’t know anything about this.
The rug is nice, $300 on sale and the cushion was $36.
Do we need to get a larger cushion and cut it down?
You will have to buy a larger cushion and cut it down to a 1/2″ smaller in width and length than the rug. Although if the cushion you purchased is actually 5′ x 8′ it should be cut down in length, unless someone exchanged the cushion from the bag or box in came in for another one. Measure the cushion and see if in fact is is actually 5′ by 8′ before doing anything.
